Precision Multilayer Coating and Manufacturing Partnerships for Advanced Materials Applications

Carestream will highlight its precision coating and product development capabilities for electronics films at Printed Electronics USA. Customers leverage the company’s roll-to-roll coating assets and product design, technology integration and manufacturing expertise to produce a variety of printed, hybrid and flexible electronics films at minimal cost and reduced time-to-market.

Derek Hammill, Analytical Chemist at Carestream Health, will present “Quantitative Evaluation of Non-Uniform Coating” at the AIMCAL R2R Conference. The session will detail Carestream’s augmentation of its manual inspection system with a digital system for the evaluation of subtle irregularities in roll-to-roll coatings. The study tracked the impact of minor process variations to determine the benefits of pursuing larger process changes.

Carestream will showcase its contract coating services for the battery, fuel cell and capacitor markets at The Battery Show. Carestream helps customers develop, commercially scale up and manufacture battery components such as anodes, cathodes and separators at minimal cost and reduced time-to-market.
