Carestream will be in attendance to discuss its precision coating and product development capabilities for energy storage at Battery Japan. The company’s multilayer coating process improves the performance and reduces the cost of battery products by enabling the addition of multiple coated layers without additional passes through the coating machine. Carestream’s project-ready facilities also feature analytical lab, small-scale pilot and production coater assets to reduce up-front capital investment costs and efficiently scale-up precision-coated battery structures to commercialization.
Carestream will highlight its precision coating and product development capabilities for energy storage at the Advanced Automotive Battery Conference Europe. The company’s simultaneous, multilayer coating process enables the addition of multiple coated layers without additional passes through the coating machine – resulting in improved performance and reduced cost of battery products.
Carestream, a provider of roll-to-roll coating and product development services for advanced materials applications, announced that R&D Manufacturing Technology Engineer Lee Runyon received an honorable mention in the AIMCAL John Matteucci Award for Technical Excellence in Web Coating for his technical paper entitled, “CFD Modeling: Key Fields and Numerical Methods to Understand Before Starting Hopper Modeling.”
